Back Nine Hole by Hole Tips from the Pro
#10 Johnson Crossing (Par 5, 539 yds, hdcp 7)
Great par 5 that requires a smart lay-up second shot and an easy pitch over water onto a
narrow green. Long hitters may be able to reach this green in two but it requires a perfect shot.
#11 Double Barrel (Par 4, 337 yds, hdcp 15)
Choose a fairway to play - just avoid going into one of the two bunkers that split the
fairways and you have a good chance of making a birdie.
#12 Bugle Ridge (Par 4, 457 yds, hdcp 1)
This is a monster par 4 that doglegs to the right with a green that slopes away from you.
Avoiding the bunkers and the sensitive areas is a must in order to make par. Watch out
for the "eyebrow" which is to the left and in front of the green.
#13 Coyote Bluff (Par 4, 431 yds, hdcp 13)
This breathtaking par 4 requires a tee shot between the bunkers which will leave you with a mid-iron
into the green along with one of the most beautiful views of the golf course.
#14 Ambush (Par 3, 245 yds, hdcp 11)
Make sure you have enough club on this monster uphill par 3.
#15 Battle Cry (Par 4, 370 yds, hdcp 3)
Strategy is the key to this hole. Some players choose to lay-up and go over the water onto
the green with their second shot. Others choose to try and carry the water on the right
with their drive. Either way, the water cannot be avoided.
#16 The Presidio (Par 3, 179 yds, hdcp 17)
Club selection must be correct in order to conquer this hole. This green
is one of the
deepest on the course, so avoid the water on the right and be sure to choose the appropriate
club.
#17 Long Bow (Par 4, 471 yds, hdcp 5)
Straight par 4 that is very long. Avoid the fairway bunker and you should have mid to long
iron onto the green.
#18 Deguello (Par 5, 535 yds, hdcp 9)
A great finishing par 5 with many options. You have to contend with water on your tee shot and
second shot. If you lay up, make sure to avoid the bunker in the middle of the fairway.
If you should choose to go for the green in two, hit plenty of club and don't miss it right or
you will find your ball in the water.
